Holiday Pay Protections
All in the MOU perhaps but how about a thread to help each other figure out our pay protections for holiday flying cancellations and changes.
For example: Double time applies to flying picked up from the company but ONLY on the greater of legs flown or the daily rig. So as an example, if a heavy block day that was going to pay a ton under double time cancels all together and you’re left with nothing on that day except a DH back to domicile to finish up the trip, are you only getting paid the original straight value of the day or 5.0 tfp for the DH (whichever is greater)?
1.5X applies to flying picked up or traded between pilots, but is it applied the same way? In other words if your legs cancel are you pay protected for the 1.5X on those legs or just the straight value of those legs?
Seems like a lot of our peers are getting hosed on pay due to all the cancellations out there with the storm ripping through the country.
