If I were in your shoes I would be going full bore on retiring ASAP and focusing on getting hired by the airlines. I’d skip the check ride and focus solely on getting a seniority number most ricky tick.

If you next goal is an airline job, then you should do everything you can to get hired ASAP!!! I can't stress this enough.......DL and UA are hiring 200 a month...and seniority is EVERYTHING!
DL doesn't care that you did 14 vice 15 check rides while on Active Duty....see above...get hired ASAP!!
Not sure of what you have done up to this point, but in case you haven't:
1) Fill out app ASAP...get it professionally reviewed...lots of good reviews for Checked and Set...once you are 100% happy, publish the app
2) Interview Prep: Do it! Emerald Coast Interview Consulting is the most popular in my opinion...been doing it a long time...good track record for success
3) Online assessment prep: Ready Set Takeoff (RST) or Cut-E are what most guys are using.

If you’re past 20, and thinking about retiring and going to the airlines, and you haven’t started yet… you’re late!
As a 20+ year retired guy, ^^^ THIS, THIS and THIS^^^
