Just for a little different perspective, that is exactly the same career expectation every mil retiree is coming in with, and they seem ok with it. (Pension does help the transition a lot)
I suspect you’d come out the other side in slightly better financial shape at 65, but those first 5 years would be very different than your current lifestyle.
