Keep your eye on the FedEx online application. The next time the window opens for new applicants, pony up the 50 bones and start your profile. Never mind that you don't meet the mins, just update the thing every month. When you finally do meet the mins and get a recommendation, your long-term interest in the company won't go unnoticed.
Also, our "Chief Pilot" recently told us that any hiring done this year will be from folks already in our applicant pool. It would be unfortunate for the same thing to happen down the road when you finally decide you might look hire-able to the company, but the application window is closed when you attempt to fill one out...best to get your foot in that door very early
( I would do the same thing for every other company out there that you are remotely interested in and ALL companies who don't charge for online apps)
