If you are asking if on-property LAX 7ER B's automatically get converted because new hires were awarded those spots, the answer is no. You only get pay protection on the same AE if the junior pilot is converting FROM the same category to the new category. New hires are not converting from anything, thus no one one property from the last AE is converting from new hire status. Pay protection does not apply. It just sort of stinks, but at least those people will have some more junior guys beneath them whenever they do actually convert.

Also, junior people converting from the same category don't force the senior people to convert, it just forces the company to pay the senior pilot at their new rate eariler.
