And the status members elected Moak. So what? He worked with many other MEC chairs just fine (at a much higher capacity). If anything he has heard all the criticism of scope and what we’re upset about. Name someone else in management that can articulate our position better.
The company wants something in section 1, he is tasked with getting it. He has intimate knowledge of the ALPA resources and responses.

Why waste time trying to negotiate for something the pilots aren’t going to give up? This expedites the negotiation.
Maybe we’re talking past each other - I’m not giving the guy a pass, but I’m not on auto-condemn either. I’m a little more optimistic and will wait and see.
