Your impression is correct. Junior Captain is 2007 hire, so unless you are young, and assuming it doesn’t close, you won’t see left seat in MIA for a long time. Right seat, new hires can hold it in the next system bid after getting hired, if you did not get in indoc, assuming you get 75/76 as a new hire. Any other plane gets an 18 month equipment lock.
