I've been here about 3 years, and I'm out. I came here for the growth and the belief that "it's got to be better than a regional." Honestly, this place is run worse than any of the 3 regionals I've flown for. For this management to be so shortsighted to send out 50 section 19 notices and not think for a second about how this will affect our ability to recruit and keep pilots is insane. Shutting down Chicago without even a promise of a new base is even worse. We have new hires leaving for United while in training, or getting their type and immediately leaving. Why would anyone stay here or come here for the promise of growth when they cannot even train enough pilots to cover current attrition let alone get people to show up to class. I wish all the great people I've flown with here the best and hope it works out, but the little bit of the behind the curtain of this airline that I have seen has inspired zero confidence that that they will be able to pull it off as promised. Personally I think the only way Frontier doesn't shrink into oblivion over the next couple years is through an acquisition and I'm not waiting around with my fingers crossed for that to happen.
