Most of the pilots I know that have left for greener pastures started out as die-hard Alaskan Airways cool-aid drinkers. For some they discovered that the cool-aid was really lav juice after 3 yrs for others it was 10 yrs…They have all been west coasters so it was not changing to go home…..Everyone comes to it in their own time…Some like the otz and skimo turn to other ways to make a living and do this for the benefits. Others find themselves fortunate enough to have the pedigree and the opportunity to move on to a major airline. For some it is as high as their pedigree will take them and for many it just becomes a job that pays ok…Any improvements that come will be from the determination of the pilots that are chained here, for whatever reason.
