If a person is bothered by the 737 being called a Guppy, complain to old man Boeing, as that's what he called it. And if it does hurt, maybe it's not everyone else that "doesn't understand"...
Yea, I’ve explained it to a few folks who, for whatever reason, thought “guppy” was a jab. It’s not. It’s a term of endearment that has been around forever. Might as well embrace it cuz it’s here to stay.
