Seriously, good luck. I am happy for you if you find happiness going to SWA. I still think leaving AS for SWA in today's hiring cycle is crazy. Big 3 or bust. Or maybe Fedex/UPS. Otherwise it's just not worth it.
I’m curious what you think the upgrade time here at Alaska will be after the next bid that comes out that begins displacing Airbus pilots. I’m guessing all those 4.5 to 5 year upgrades (that the chief pilots brag about on their calls 🤣

will be back in the right seat and upgrade will be closer to 6-6.5
As a place to work, taking upgrade out of the picture, it seems Southwest is a better place for a pilot to work in every metric when compared to Alaska.
Now one could make the case given world events at the moment placing oneself at the bottom of a list is risky, but if your relatively junior here as well, why not.
