I am new here, less than a year for sure, but even I agree that the vestment schedule is OK, however I do agree it should be on par with our industry standards. I am fully on board with needing to improve life for new hires as it will drive our growth, but keep in mind this is the same group of people that stacked our pay rates closer to the 7 year mark and beyond. It will take a change in thinking to get things done most likely, but I am optimistic for it. If we see upgrades approaching five years, something in the lower pay scales will need to change as it just doesn't make sense to earn 30k less a year than our peers, still have the same upgrade time and then make less than our peers again.

How we get this fixed is difficult to answer, but if we dont, I see little reason people would pick us over any of the others. We cant hang our hat on the old mantra of "qol, qol, qol" anymore as it has been proven that our peers can and do get more days off, with better pay. Anyway rant over, but I will add I am still super happy to be here and generally love coming into work.
Well said. I agree 100%. The ship isn’t sinking, but the perks of coming here over going to a legacy are rapidly diminishing if the growth forecast is null & void because we can’t staff the jets. I want to stay and see this place succeed as I really do love my job, but if things dont change, this is going to change career expectations here at Spirit with the bottom half of the seniority list being most affected.
