Reasonably rain resistant, wiped clean with a damp cloth, and folded up made a tolerable pillow on the commute home. Not inexpensive, but came from a legit supplier (Gibson & Barns). Pretty much the pinnacle of utility in the frigid north. All told, a surprisingly reasonable call by the then-company. They even offered a buy-back after the merger happened. I kept mine because it's a darn nice jacket, and it just looks like a ho-hum leather jacket anyone would have.
Id gladly take the leather option. Plenty professional.
