Na, were just the 1900's ship captain spin offs. But that does give me a good idea I think we should update our language for PA's to be inclusive of our nautical attire. Turbulence shall now be referred to as sea seat, Thunder storms are now ice burgs, and one pilot must yell "land ho!" before landing.
I also hate this jacket. I don't think aviator sunglasses and a bomber jacket is the fix.
