I'm sure that's not the only reason, but having a handful of chief pilots and a couple senior line pilots doing pretty much the whole job of hiring without much HR support isn't a recipe for being able to get enough people into a class and on top of that, account for the inevitable no-shows in today's environment.
So were 40 offers extended an accepted for the January 31 class? Or were 10 offers made and 10 accepted/showed?
I already know what management is saying. I also know they tell half-truths and engage in outright deception. They're not likely to admit that X offers were made and X-20 accepted/showed. That's why I'm hoping to find the actual data so that I can reach my own conclusions as to the why.
