You are absolutely right that the DFW CP does what she can. But when they already projected to be zeroed out they are unlikely to give a PO. The problem is the CONTRACT. You should be able to take a sick day to take care of a kid or spouse or a non emergency medical issue that you have to schedule a month away and not be forced to take FMLA when you have sick time available.
