Just be careful not to show your cards unless you've really decided that you are getting out. My base had some issues with school slots being pulled and some other baffonery when leadership found out some of the "shooting stars" were planning on punching.

Yeah, I feel that pain... My CC "de-stratified" me on my OPR recently when I told him that I'm planning on punching in early 09.
If they bring back VSP for 09, that would be amazing. I'm thinking though, (and big brother Air Force isn't this smart...) but if the USAF wants to chop down more of the 11m's from 09, all they really need to do is not offer a pilot bonus. I'd obviously be loving life if they would give VSP, i.e. pay me to do what I was going to do anyway.
But I know a lot of guys who aren't staying in unless there is a bonus... I think AFPC is going to crap themselves next year when they open the flood gates.
