You are right in that the balance is opposite of some other bags. I had to think about it for a bit but I do remember there being an adjustment period when I first got the bag. You just have to switch your hand when you walk. For a bag that “falls” forward with its balance you need to hold it underhand so that the weight is pressing down into the palm of your hand. With this bag you need to hold it overhand so that as it tries to stand back up it is pressing into the palm of your hand the other way. It’s the same, just opposite. I can see how trying to hold it underhand like other bags would cause issues. I’ve dragged it countless miles through airports and haven’t thought about it in years so it’s just something you get used to.
Third trip with the bag, I like it much better than the large LW bag I was using. Fits in overheads (except RJs) like a normal bag (the large LW bag would only go in length wise which would get you some stink eye from FAs)

Its light holds as much and handling qualities are acceptable. The tote is a bit large. So I'm back to using my LW tote (its a bit smaller and balances better). I fashioned the J-hook for it using the strap provided with the Andare bag
