If it went that far, is the U.S. military even in any shape to go to war against Russia? A country with an actual military, and some technology, not a bunch of peasants with AKs, and Toyota pickup trucks? I'm always seeing articles about how something like half the Air Force fleet isn't even close to being able to go into combat. The F35 is a disaster, the new tankers have endless problems, and there was the humiliation in Afghanistan by a bunch of peasants with AKs and Toyota pickups, so that proves we can't even keep a puppet government propped up anymore. Nevermind how un-popular this would be at home and the financial problems associated. Regardless of what NATO or any of that non-sense says, I just don't see how this would be possible to do without completely destroying America's middle class and basically leading to a complete collapse of the government, leaving a victorious and even more powerful Russia. Maybe we should have saved up, instead of bombing caves for 20 years.
