Introduce yourself
Hello,
I'm a former Marine KC-130J and KC-130T pilot. About 1700 TT, almost all KC-130J/T. The rest was Navy flight school (T-34C and T-44C). A little GA in there (C172). CPL/MEL/Instrument, standard stuff for a guy in that flew my airframe. I haven't flow anything in 5 years.
I'm STRONGLY considering quitting my government engineer job and start a career towards the Airlines. I know a lot of you will advise me not too, I welcome all opinions.
Some may ask why, well:
1. I'm about make substantial amount from a rental I'm selling, so that will help during time in the regionals.
2. COVID delayed hiring for two years, but now it's really back full force.
3. Wage growth in my govt job has been stagnant.
4. I find I don't like the personality of most engineer. Yes, I have a BS in AE.
5. It appears the flying bug never left me.
