Well, if you think of the legacies as Tyrannosaurus Rex, and the ULCCs as those annoying furry little mammals, that’s just about what did happen 66-67 million years ago. I wasn’t there personally, but I bet there were a lot of furloughs though. After dominating for millions of years, the dinosaurs were just less able to adapt to cr@ppy times..

But if the asteroid is big enough, nobody survives. What’s left would just be another asteroid belt spread out between Venus and Mars with a few tens of thousands of Boeing’s and Airbus mixed in among the rubble.
