Alright Einstein,
Let an “asshat” teach you so very basic 4th grade math. I realize most Amerijet pilots lack any basic life skills, so let me explain.
First off - drop the Anerijet pom-poms- and get a calculator.

Your other cheerleader colleague stated that they had made 16,000 dollars on first year pay in one period.
16,000 is the magic number.

A first year FO makes about $94 bucks - give or take- at 60 minimum guarantee. That equals to 5,640, not including perdiem .
Now, how did this magical FO make 16,000? Well there are many avenues to this but the most simple one would be trip rig.
Say this FO was doing OE out of base, and is now on trip rig that’s 6 hours of pay per day right? Being that they would be gone their entire duty days that’s 16.
16 x 6 x 94 = that FO would have banked 9,024 dollars.
Still short of 16,000 he claimed to have made.
The only closest way for this FO to have made 16,000 bucks is by dividing 16,000 by 6 and 94.
That makes 28 days of work in a 28 day period.
That’s assuming they worked all their days off out of base making trip rig.
It’s simple arithmetic there captain cheerleader.
So now let’s add your comment to the equation. 9 nights away from home?
That would equate to 54, short of the 60 min Guarantee.
Other scenario would be that such pilot spent 16 days of reserve at home (Miami) netting 60 and was away 9 days doubt OT that would equate to 114 hours of credit at 94 would have made him 10,800- short 6,000.
The other plausible scenario is that such pilot -being away 9 days-. Would have flown around 7-8 hours a day and credited more than duty rig. That would put such pilot above the 100 hour FAA restriction.

Asshat? Sure I’ll take it, asshat for eve coming to an airline which pilots defend being the lowest paid pilots in the supplemental industry.

It’s okay to be proud of where you work, but it’s a whole other to defend **** poor wages and bad QOL.
You shouldn’t be here defending this, you should be advocating for better wages than your competitors. Then again, you prove my point, you can’t even do simple math and are mostly likely stuck at AJT for the rest of your career.
Keep thinking y’all are making “money” here. Keep those blinders on like a good boy and stare at the ground.
