Perhaps if the dependability policy went away, I’d agree that it has value. As it is now I was due for dependability review while still positively accumulating PTO. If I can’t even use all the PTO I’m using now while still accruing it without getting a dependability review, what’s the value of adding the ability to call out even more unpaid?
Also, there’s an easy bypass for both the dependability policy and being able to call out unpaid: FMLA.
