I can't remember the last time I saw a pilot in the terminal walking around without a hat. I've never seen someone wearing Vans shoes to work. And a North Face jacket is the standard commute jacket. Just because you know they are a pilot doesn't mean the general public does - there is nothing that says because you are a pilot with a pilot bag you can't wear a North Face jacket.
