No, they were on unpaid leave. They are the ones who were granted religious or medical exemptions. Unpaid leave was the offered reasonable accommodation.
The people who were fired were those who were not granted an exemption and did not provide documentation of being vaccinated by the deadline. Nothing has changed with their status.
Also, nothing has changed with the vaccination requirement for those without an exemption.
You didn’t read what I was replying to. “still banned” implies that there is a chance at non-employees (because they were fired) returning to United. I haven’t seen that as being the case.
