I'm a new-hire, permanent commuter (from MCO) with less than 18 years before I'm out. Seems like I should become familiar with the lingo.

As a commuter, what am I trying to avoid, trying to bid for?

I just want to work my way to 10-12 days per month, making a decent living.

Starting with initial bid:

ATL vs. somewhere else?

NB vs. 7ER to start?

Again, I don't have 20+ years to work with. Just wondering what a guy in my situation should be considering.
