You and many others may feel uncomfortable doing it yourself because you probably had to study the STAR format for every interview you ever had. It’s unfair to jump on someone having a positive impact on others on social media because you have some deeply rooted conservative opinion of what an airline pilot is or how one should be portrayed. If you don’t like the guy, don’t follow him, but hiding behind an online forum talking smack about the guy makes all of you that do seem pretty small.
If you put yourself out there publicly as a representative for all of us as a pilot group or even worse for all of United's diverse employees... you had better bring it. I have no idea how I got hired let alone want to speak for such an impressive group of people. We have some really outstanding people from all backgrounds here. This guy can't even be bothered to button his shirt but is delusional enough to want to be the face of us. Humility, tact, and self awareness are goals for most of the people I respect in this job and yet these (not just that guy) self-appointed representatives have none of those traits.

I hate to see the guy getting bullied but he is also the one that put it out there. Deleting negative comments instead of addressing the criticism constructively is also a sign that there might be some narcissistic element at play.
