Eventually, your seniority will stagnate and the airline will, too, as all of the training slots will be taken up by churning new hires. Exactly what is happening now. I am not sure how iron clad the slots are for the new aircraft, but it wouldn't surprise me if they delayed or cancelled orders. The best case scenario is some sort of MOU or LOA to get everyone better pay and stop the bleeding. This will lead to more captain training slots and upgrades and more aircraft.
