I'm glad to see that the duty pilots won't help us make the tough decisions. Maybe, just maybe, I was looking for guidance. Instead, I was essentially threatened with "fly it, you're legal." Very regional-esque. But fine. Next time I'll just call fatigued. And when there's a threatening follow up, I'll say "Breezy says there's no gray area, even though I might be legal for it."
I'm going to pile on here. The way fatigue works is only YOU can tell if you're fatigued. No other person, not a CP, not a FA not the Captain, no one, can tell you whether you are fatigued. You are either are or aren't. If you aren't but can't complete the flying as scheduled, you can just call in unfit to fly and tell them what you are rested enough to do. The Duty Pilot is solely a facilitator. It's not his job to tell you how you feel. Again, see who is allowed to tell you if you're fatigued.
