Its about the big picture. It was not a negotiated and agreed-upon item. By allowing the company to bypass the contractual requirements/processes, it sets a dangerous precedent for future actions/interpretations. I’m sure everyone agrees that hotels should be provided to new hires. But there is a CBA and negotiating process that needs to be honored as well.
Well said. Apperantly the hotel doesn’t comply with existing language because they don’t provide transportation to the training center. Not sure if that was fixed or not yet?
