E3 Visa pilots are a negative deterrent to this industry and ALPA pilots with full U.S citizenship. Fully qualified American citizens with full FAA ratings and paying ALPA dues will be affected negatively by this foreign pilot program. This E3 Visa program is a shame and I hope our future ALPA president can fight this program continuing.
A point of clarification, E3 pilots go through the same training program, are issued the same "full" FAA ATP as American citizens and pay the same ALPA/union dues.
