Fully qualified American citizens with full FAA ratings and paying ALPA dues will be affected negatively by this foreign pilot program. This E3 Visa program is a shame and I hope our future ALPA president can fight this program continuing.
Put really simply, the US does not have enough 1500 hour pilots,
right now. If they did, there'd be no E3 pilots. Simple. As soon as you do have the pilot numbers E3 will be gone, supply and demand. And I'll guarantee you the E3 program has
zero effect on regional remuneration.
