They have been doing vacancy bids once a quarter fairly consistently pre and post covid. They usually offer all FO basses in the vacancy allowing everyone who is on property to shuffle around. So you should be able to get back to ORD between three and six months from day one of indoc.
The growth is in Miami and DFW so ord is just a little more stagnant, meaning it might take you longer to get there.
The union also offers a Mutual inter domicile transfer where you are paired up with another FO that wants to swap bases but it has a bunch of caveats and isn't a total slam dunk.

Define "growth". Are they moving planes from ORD to MIA and DFW or is the company receiving new planes and putting them in those bases? Or are people getting displaced or upgrading off the 145 in ORD and going to those bases?
