I have friends at every major, and at my seniority level they tend to make about $20-50k more than I do. They also pickup green slips, work 4-5 day trips, frequent redeyes, etc. I worked 360 hours, had zero hotel nights, zero EDTC delays, zero deadheads, (training in base), eat my own food every days and sleep in the same time zone. Everyone can put a price and value on that, and for some people it’s worth it. Some people just want an easy part time job. If you want more money, then apply at Delta and you can hold LGA captain in 6 months. Enjoy that. Eventually we will get a new contract that will put the pay rates back to the market rate.
