Nobody ought to be planning on staying at a regional any longer than necessary to get on to any major, even an L/ULCC.
1. The money is better (at least after year one)
2. QOL is better
3. It’s a quicker path to the legacy.
The regionals are bleeding CA’s and the DEC supply is drying up. No legacy wants to hire from their own regional because they depend on the feed. You can’t get SIC time without a CA in the left seat so as you lose your CAs, flying contracts.
No amount of tossing new wet certificate ATPs in at the bottom is going to fix that. Get in, consolidate, and get fresh apps out for somewhere that ISN’t a regional.
