I came to SWA with high expectations. I really believed that it would be like the place described in the book “Nuts!” There are good things about SWA, but I really can’t think of any way ways in which I was positively surprised. A couple of negative surprises were:

1) The training was the worst training program I’d ever participated in (between many military programs and another airline). This was a while back so maybe it has changed.

2) The disability insurance and the way we take care of our pilots who get sick is lacking, to say the least.

I could go on but don’t want to be too much of an Eeyore.
