Great post. I agree for the most part. I commute, and the difference here between commuting and living in base is night and day. I will say that there are a lot of commutable trips and even whole lines these days in the bigger bases. I bid a 100 percent commutable line this month.

Also agree that AMs are the devil. Yeah, we don't have red eyes, but there are plenty of times I have set an alarm for 3am or earlier. I think that's worse than any red eye.
