When they announced these huge orders last summer, Kirby talked about all the growth and replacements with the whole United Next thing. I'm too lazy to look up an article, but yes they are retiring jets between now and 2025. Their fleet's avg age is the oldest in the USA. The big element of their growth is upgauging smaller gauge (especially RJ counts) with large NBs: 73-8 73-10, 321XLR...offering lots more seats vs the smaller planes they replace.
