I disagree, they learned a lot from the last vote. They saw how close they were to getting it passed and I’m sure some were shocked, like that’s all? Let’s give them a few more dollars. This is just a carry over from how close the last vote was. We’ve been weak as a pilot group and as a union in general. They learned it long ago not with todays outcome. I truly lost faith in getting a decent CBA2. Not with this pilot group we ain’t.
A lot of the new guys who spent maybe 1-1.5 years at the regionals and never got the mentorship about the lost decade and such aren’t helping. Throw in the mil, various gateways, and others with no knowledge about the history of the airlines/pilot unions/RLA and it’s a recipe for a nice steamrolling by the company. I don’t have much faith the pilot group will get any better. Oh well. Some guys just don’t and won’t get it. Obviously.
