We are deep into the what ifs due to management showing up this week to mediation and have pulled a “whoops I forgot to do my homework.” As someone who routinely pulled this line growing up, it was never forgotten, it was arrogance thinking I never needed to do it. I think our management is similarly just showing their arrogance and saying look we gave you all we are willing to give and are convinced the mediator will see ALPA as being unreasonable, as they see them. I don’t see a merger/acquisition happening at all outside of acquiring a small airline to add warm bodies and force arbitration.
