Perfect, thanks. Just what I needed to know. No chance of finding a fare to NZ for less than it costs to fly anywhere in the states so probably best to have an apartment in HNL. At least that gets me closer to NZ. Pretty sure the family wont mind if they have to spend a couple of weeks in HNL now and then.
How senior is LAX? Would it take long to bid over if starting in ANC?
You could probably get LAX in about a year. I have been here 13 months and just got CVG on the 747. When I started the junior person in CVG had been here about 6-8 months and I had a friend in a class 1 month ahead of me who got LAX in about 6 months. But now who knows. Things change constantly here.
