This is why YX lost their MIA base. It makes more sense for them to be at hubs with DL/UA presence and not MIA. They might do fly-through like they do in CLT, but like CLT I doubt it will be a base again.
As for our 170s, they are indeed EOW certified and I’m guessing most if not all of the 175s will be too.
Speaking of which, AA signed a lease on another 170, which I believe makes 9 for Envoy. MSN 17000024, former Aeromexico and LOT.
Been a while since I’ve seen a 175 that wasn’t EOW, but the last 170 was definitely not EOW. Not saying it won’t be, just like there might still be a few 175s that haven’t been done yet either.
What do you consider a “presence” for a carrier? RPA has a bunch of domiciles that are not hubs, as does SKW. Do those non hub locations have a presence from other carriers? I’m pretty sure that DL and UA fly into MIA and CLT which would mean the have presence there. At least as much so than many of the locations they use as domiciles that are not hubs for any carrier.
