Our reserve grids are always blood red right from the start which makes drops impossible. You can drop trips via the trade board directly to another pilot though, works great for super senior guys with sweet trips who want to get rid of them.
The answer is...it depends.
Summers and the holiday season are busy as one would expect. Outside of that it depends on seniority and days available since that is how trips are awarded. Right now FOs are getting it handed to them because of the attrition problem, and captains not so much.
