What do new hires get from the union? An hour introduction during BI and a meet and great afterwards over a beer? Nobody of any significance meets the new hire groups. No expectations are set. No contract education. And we wonder where these toolsbags come from.
Take a chance and go over to the Delta board or UA, AA, SWA. Guess what you will find? I will save you time. A bunch of pilots still doing premium trips and extra meanwhile complaining about a union and not getting a contract. Even after 3,4 or 5 years of negotiations. Its a pilot problem. Greed and undercutting the union they have meanwhile beating a table saying they want a contract. All pilots need to find a mirror and look in it. Ask what you are doing. Ask what education you are providing new hires as you fly with them. Are you doing your part?
