RedBaron,

The process is fairly easy. Your employer should provide you with basic information regarding your upcoming training:aircraft type and employer training reference number. Once you have these information, go to https://www.flightschoolcandidates.gov and follow the steps. Very basic information are needed. It is a two step process, the TSA will then check with your new employer (training provider) and will get back to you via email. If you have not done it previously, you will have to go to a nearby TSA office for fingerprinting. Once all of this is done, you should receive your authorization to start training within 4 to 7 days. The process is really simple and should be completed in no more than 10 days. Just make sure that all the information you provide to the TSA are accurate to avoid any delay. Let me know if you have any questions.
Good luck and welcome aboard.
