Yes, people have to work to provide for their families. Military works extremely hard, make huge sacrifices, and should be honored for their services.



You say that the hardest working pilot has "plenty of time for family". Could you please explain this generalization to the pilot whose wife, husband, son, or daughter is fighting a terminal illness at home? What would you guess is more important to them? An ARCOS call at 3 am or spending time with his/her family that now has become finite? Is inflation affecting them and do they have the right to voice their concern? What would you tell this pilot if they were flying with you? I highly doubt you would mention they should just pick up a few GS to mitigate the negative effects of inflation.



I know for sure you never thought about this scenario because most of us are living young healthy and happy lives, but situational awareness is very important I think when generalizing among the 14000 pilot families at Delta. To suggest that 1. Inflation is not an issue to families because pilots can pick up GS in lieu of QOL, and spending time at home, and 2. To double down saying "even the hardest working pilot has plenty of time at home", suggest that you may need a more macro level view of what's really important in life. Just something to think about, that's all.
