The junior NYC 73 captain was hired 5 months ago. That should tell you how much people value their seniority on the 73 compared to hourly rate. I haven’t looked much at 73 trips but I have to imagine they are crap for captain to go that low. If the junior trips were great, more senior people would have jumped all over that upgrade.

220 is much more commutable than other options. And contrary to popular belief, we don’t currently fly it like the 717 or the mad dog. It’s got legs. It averages fewer legs per day than the 320. And it’s well staffed so reserve coverage is over 100% every day this month, meaning you can swap reserve days off, drop reserve days, swap and drop trips, etc. 320 and 73N are both crap coverage, can’t swap or drop anything except if it’s in the company’s favor.

This is all obviously subject to change. But I’m keeping my eye on the 220.
