I’ve had to explain this very point to 3 different FO’s this week that had no idea they could do that. The message is clearly not getting out there and more work by the “association” needs to be done immediately. Pilots QOL is being affected as I type this by that knowledge not being out there.

And one last thing, don’t answer your phone on days off, ever. And if you are a line holder don’t answer your phone, full stop.
