This is what concerns me with the potential merger, um acquisition, and why I never applied to B6. I, and I suspect I'm not alone, have no interest in living near or commuting to JFK, BOS, or LAX. If Borg6 gets NK and dissolves our midwest bases then I'd have to suspect a lot of us are headed for the exits. I never thought I'd envy our guys who left for WN before 2018 but they've got a metric ton of bases to live near. I'd have fare more apprehension about commuting than a JCBA. There's no amount of money for me that could justify a commute to any of those three. I guess we'll see.
LAS is one of our bigger bases and the ONLY west coast base. If we get LAX as another more, not less people will be ap to staying. Why do you think guys are leaving now....because they can hold LAX,ORD,SFO,JFK,ATL,MIA,DFW at a legacy. Not many care about "midwest bases" except the minority who currently are based in ORD and are being displaced.
