So I have been in the trenches. What is so bad at Mesa other than just realizing that it isn't being at the major four?

Let see what my options are: I live in Houston and do not wish to commute. Did ELP to ORD for most of my time at AE and it exhausted the hell out of me. I will not take the vaxx..personal reasons, so that pretty much leaves the majors in the dust. With those restrictions it leaves maybe SWA or UAL here in Houston? I have been out of aviation for 10 years and am just getting recurrent. Probably not competitive for the likes of any major. I can afford to buy a type, B73 or A320 and try Jet Blue or SWA but then again I don't think that would give me much of a leg up over the many CA coming out of the regionals; so why blow the cash?

Money isn't a motivating concern for me. Just want to do something I love for the last 10 years of my working life. I could drive a big rig as a OO and make 100-150K but then I'd never be home. Certainly would love to see the country and call my own shots. I've been glued to my desk for 10 years and need to get out a bit.

What else should I be looking at? Why not Mesa?
Everyone is different. Everyones reasoning is different. Ejet in IAH looks like a good fit to me. Your prior 121 time could lead to as quick upgrade. We are rapidly reaching the point where if you have the 121 time you can hold CA on the Ejet with any seniority. If you upgrade quickly you will be on reserve for a long time, but if you live in Magnolia or the WoodLands - it's a super easy drive - so why not?
